I am an american girl
Every New Crush EVER + today's celebration of beautiful, wonderful, perfect all-american girls
I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I haven’t written much for you this week. The good news is I have very special playlists to share!
First, we have a playlist of pretty much every single song I mention in New Crush. It already has 245 songs and is about 17 hours long. If you’re ever curious about any of the songs I mention here, head to this playlist and I’ll have them ready for you! Shout out to FONC Hannah for this lovely idea.
Second, it’s July 4. I don’t have a playlist of songs about the U.S., but I do have a playlist of songs about American girls. Some are from the girls’ perspectives (Bonnie McKee’s “American Girl”). Some come from the American boys (“American Girl” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers). Even though this holiday is meant to honor our independence from England, some of these songs are even about how British guys think American girls are great (The 1975’s “She’s American,” “so american” by Olivia Rodrigo). So if you don’t feel like celebrating America today, perhaps celebrate the American girls in your life with this playlist.
